About CopyGlyph

CopyGlyph is a free reference for copy and paste symbols. It started from a simple frustration: most symbol sites cover a single character, wrap it in ads, and still make you hunt for the code point. We wanted one clean, fast page that treats every glyph like a type specimen, big and legible, with a one-click copy and every code you might need.

What it covers

There are 285+ symbols here today, grouped into 12 categories: arrows, hearts, stars, check marks, currency, math, punctuation, brackets, zodiac, lines, corners and fancy letters. Each symbol has its own page with the Unicode code point, HTML entities, CSS escape, JavaScript escape, UTF-8 bytes and, where one exists, a Windows alt code. The plan is to grow toward a page per character over time.

How it works

The whole site is static and runs in your browser. When you click a glyph, the copy happens locally through the clipboard API. Nothing you search or copy is uploaded, logged or tracked. There is no account, no paywall and no limit.

Built to be built on

Beyond the reference itself, CopyGlyph ships a free JSON API and an embeddable picker so other makers can reuse the data. If a symbol is missing or a detail is wrong, please get in touch.

Example names used across the site, such as Acme or Globex, are fictional and used only to illustrate.
